AT LOCAL TICKET OUTLETS”

 

RAEFORD, NCGeneral Admission Car Passes and Individual Tickets for the 2009 Stoneybrook Steeplechase are on sale now at various ticket outlets throughout the region.  This year’s big event takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2009. 

     Held annually the first Saturday in April at Carolina Horse Park, the races draw upwards of 10,000 people.  This audience is extremely loyal, drawing a diverse group of people year after year from across the region.  Known as the official “Rite of Spring”, Stoneybrook Steeplechase marks the start of an exciting season of steeplechase racing.  This exhilarating event combines great racing, Southern hospitality and entertainment for the whole family. 

     The countryside of Hoke County comes alive with powerful thoroughbreds, the Hawkins & Harness Hat Contest, The Wine Cellar’s Tailgate Contest, Kids Corral featuring pony rides and a petting zoo, The Jefferson Inn Stick Horse Races, pony races, an exciting parachutist demonstration performed by the Golden Knights and much more.  The infield will include more family activities, live music, food and unique merchandise vendors.  The day will be a time for families and friends to gather together, kick back and enjoy a memorable day of racing.  Gates open to the public at 9:30 a.m. with post time set for 1:00 p.m.

RAEFORD, NC – The Stoneybrook Steeplechase Race Committee recently announced that all service men and women will receive a 20% discount on General Admission Car Passes and Individual Tickets for the 2009 Stoneybrook Steeplechase, to be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009.  “Value for Valor” is being offered to all service men and women as a small token of appreciation for the risks they take each and every day to protect our country.
